How you teach Professional Web Design
If you are serious about embarking on a career in web, here are 10 steps to reach there without having to go to school for many years. With any book or any other class you take, be sure to include exercises!
1) Start with a basic class Design Fundamentals
It is a good idea to take a basic class that teaches the fundamentals of the theory of good design and text and image work together. You can look at any local college offering vocational courses. Make sure it is a class that makes you do your homework and work design.
2) Get the Adobe Creative Suite
Get your hands on a copy of the Adobe Creative Suite. Not cheap, but that includes all the programs you need to know to do the job.
3) Start with Photoshop
Start with Adobe Photoshop and learn all you can take online tutorials, and get a book in the library or bookstore to practice all the techniques and ways of doing things. Pay special attention to image manipulation, slicing and saving for web.
4) Learn Best Practices in Web Site Design
Get a book on best practices and learn web design about the aesthetics of a good web design. This means that you learn what looks good and why. It also means that you will know why certain types of fonts, colors and designs are not good for web design. Always know the rules before you break them. This is your foundation. web interface design is a work in itself.
5) HTML and CSS – Learn the code by hand!
You need to know HTML and CSS to actually be able to master the different browsers and how they behave. There are plenty of good online tutorials that will teach you the basics for free. Learn all you can for free. Then, when you have a very good command of the basics to get a book on CSS and become an expert in CSS coding.
6) Dreamweaver
Once you have mastered the code, is time to teach Dreamweaver. Below you will find Dreamweaver as more of an assistant to their coding skills. With Dreamweaver, obtain a tool ftp and you can see in the code and design at a time and preview the published code.
7) JavaScript
At that point you should begin to feel you has a handle on the creation of a decent static website. To further their skills, you will have to start learning JavaScript (get a book) at least a basic level. Once you understand some basics, you can find plenty of open source code out there you can copy for use on your site. But before they know the basics, not knowing how to incorporate the copied code or how to fix.
Flash and Illustrator
Technical Home has a great program learn Flash on the web that you can teach everything from scratch to advanced level you need to know about designing flash website. Also At this point you should start playing with Illustrator and learn the basics with a book.
9) PHP. NET and Java
For now have to start learning how does the back-end. Start with PHP. The best way to learn PHP is to take a class. If you feel you are without hope in this part, do not worry, with the skills you have acquired and at this point, you can make a great life. But knowing how to incorporate design and front-end with languages can be an important skill.
10) Create web sites
Start making web sites and gain practice in a portfolio. You can make websites for people who need one, but has no money so you have some directions Good to show active URL. Once you have a great portfolio that showcases good design and good coding, you're on your way to a great web design work!
