how to get into web designing?
i would like to get into web designing. I was wonderingthe best method to learn, e.g shadow someone that does it? A course costs so would rather learn en on the job. Live in uk so any uk’ers let me know if u have ne ideas? xxx
I don’t live in the UK, but I’m an american design student with an internship. If you can buy or get a free 30 day download of a popular program try that so if you shadow someone you aren’t totally lost on what they are doing. Adobe Dreamwaever is popular in America, and I would reccomend something similar because it has a feature where you can see both what it will look like on the screen and the script that goes with it. That way you will have a good feeling of how it all works together.

try to recreate any website you see.
After you get a good handle on this (if you work at it for a few hours every day, you will be ready really fast, in a month or so) go shadow someone! It is so much fun to watch someone put together a real website.
Large clothing companies (for the masses) usually hold open interviews for interns in the fall and will hire interns for all sorts of graphic design work.
