graphic design major in college and i’m trying to find a job right now…?
i am a junior graphic design major… i have a pretty developed portfolio and i need some advice on where to look for a job. I’d like a paid intern or some kind or a part time job in the design field (because of school, work cant take up too much time) Right now im in the process of sorting through my porfolio… i’d like to create a web portfolio (any advice on this would be great…) But anyway… where are the best places to look for jobs for someone in my situation? I live in eastern MA… i could work in the boston area. What about finding a job for a website and working at home… for instance creating web graphics? I am unfortunatly new to dreamweaver… and i dont use html… but i know creative suite 
Easy. Set up a personal website, advertise your skills and portfolio on it and to the internet and ask people to contact you if they need any professional graphic design work done for a fee of course. This way, you work your own hours, schedule, location, price, etc. I did it before and I got some decent work and money for it.
Also, since you’re in college no need to rush finding a job. Hone your skills and knowledge, learn advanced graphic design, basic html, web development, get more intern jobs. Also learn photoshop, illustrator, any software related to desktop publishing and graphic design. Basically pay your dues now and acquire an outstanding work portfolio so when you graduate, companies will be lining up to hire you for big $$$$$$. Trust me on this.
