The new Callaway FT-5 Driver is the latest evolution in clubhead design, utilizing Callaway’s revolutionary Fusion Technology. A massive 50 grams of discretionary weight has been created using a Carbon Fiber Body — creating the OptiFit Weighting System that produces the perfect center of gravity position for any particular player. The larger, hotter CT/VFT Titanium cup face is designed to the legal limit, resulting in increased ball speed, distance and forgiveness — even on miss-hits. Carbon Composite Body Lighter than titanium, this construction improves stability and distance. Carbon Composite Body The material used to make the body is significantly lighter than titanium, allowing Callaway Golf engineers to move 50 grams of discretionary weight where it is needed most, resulting in better stability and distance.
The Callaway Fusion FT-5 has really flown under the radar so far. The compliment to the FT-i has been overshadowed by its square cousin but customers and readers are starting to realize that it’s the better of the two clubs. Callaway has taken their popular Fusion FT-3 and made it even better.
Overall… a solid driver that offers a lot of technology and more options than Baskin-Robbins, the FT-5 might feel different, sound different and hurt the wallet but there aren’t many better drivers on the market.

The Callaway FT-9 looks like another clear-cut winner for Callaway. It’s still very early in the game, but early indications are it will fare well. Phil Mickelson had high praise for the driver even after shooting high numbers at a recent tournament. It’s definitely worth checking out at the Demo days.
