Why is the web design lark getting so confusing?
Ok, been learning web design, and finally came to PHP. Any other the obvious thing is the same as JavaScript, and I feel like I lost my time to learn JavaScript. Really the use of JavaScript and PHP together and if so can you give me some web sites and examples please? (All I can think about is form validation server to save the extra work and it is better for security [but not I'm sure if the latter is true]) What about HTML and PHP DOM, do they go together? Or Should I close, let go and stop to keep learning until I work? Thanks in advance
PHP is a server-side technology, Java Script is a client-side technology. JavaScript and PHP are very much in use today. JavaScript is often used to check form data before bothering the server with a request, and also for animation and other interactive effects. DOM is also important. Basically, if you want to do web dev need to be willing to learn new technologies and staying on top. All the technologies you mentioned are widely used and important.
