Does anyone have a basic cocktail dictionary?
Hey, I’m beginning to learn how to make drinks (not officially), and I was wondering if anyone had a web site or something they could link me to that has basic cocktails that are common and famous. I keep finding web sites with their own designs and twists, and I don’t want that. I want something that will tell me even the simplest stuff, like a screwdriver is vodka + orange juice. What a long island ice tea is. Etc. So, can anyone help me out? Thanks.
I found this great website that offers recipes for all kinds of mixed drinks. The recipes are easy to search through and the instructions are easy to follow. For example, here’s your simple, plain old “screwdriver” recipe:
Ingredients:
* 2 oz Vodka
* Orange juice
Mixing instructions:
Put 3 ice cubes into a highball glass. Pour in vodka. Fill balance of glass with orange juice, stir, and serve.
