An easy way to store information gathered Family History?

I have accumulated a lot of notes (paper and notebooks spiral) of the various websites in my family history and at the time, can not afford to go out and buy a software program for creating trees herd. 1 – Does anyone have any tips to make it easier for me to cross-reference the information I have found and to store, so which does not harmonize together as one big lump and confusing until you can afford to go out and buy a software program to enter? 2 – Is there any good free websites that can download to store my information on my personal computer that has a kind of general scheme to connect the information needed to build my family tree?
