How I can make my computer run smoothly and reduce my use of the CPU.?

My computer is an Acer 5100-5033 I have 894 MB of RAM. I am running 2.0 ghz Vista Premium I have north and SpySweeper so I know I do not have viruses or spyware my question is, what I can make my computer run faster and has a CPU low when I start my computer automatically I have 73 processes and my cpu is very high ranges from 30 to 100% keeps peaks. remains mostly in the range of 80/90/100%. I've disabled much of my departure must not be confused im tasks what else I can disable, Another problem I have is when I watch online videos like YouTube or any other half of my team does delay, but the video is fully loaded. and that there is a slight delay the delay will last 20 seconds or more and then continues through the video. I degrafmented my computer and checked for malicious software and I deleted the software i dont use. I mostly just need help thanks in advance if you need something else on my computer ask.
