Buy a new computer?
Parents "My computer is 8 years old and it takes 12 minutes to load a web page (with Internet connection cable), so I'll buy them a new one. It is used mainly for email / Internet and word processing … would like to learn to burn CDs too, but that is all they know. Ahh, and I personally like eMachines. Now be a team builder, I tend to see the specifications brand. However, the obvious choice is that of Compaq. It is much better because it is dual core, and has more RAM, a larger L2 cache. Not to mention a larger hard drive. I'd be in the Emachines Compaq any day. And yes, it's worth. When I build PC, you can take a long time only decide on a plate Dang, because I think ahead. "Can I use this late?" "Does this benefit me?" "Should we update something? "etc say that I am to decide about RAM. 2 GB of DDR2 800 is sold or $ 20. But then I see a sale of 3 GB of RAM it for $ 5 more. I chose the 3GB because technically I'm saving money. And on stage, they are saving money. =) But once you decide on your PC, make sure you have the software appropriate, since they do not want to invest in a team, then let your money go to waste if their parents get dirty by spyware and such. Get the software suitable for web browsing, use Firefox Movies, Divx use songs using iTunes antivirus, I recommend Avast
