A special pacemaker can be carefully programmed to increase the strength of muscle contractions in the heart. This is called "biventricular stimulation" therapy or "resynchronization.

Syncope: A condition known as the common faint, is generally not serious. Some patients weak when your heart rate becomes very slow. For a small percentage of people suffering from severe and frequent fainting spells, a pacemaker can keep the heart rate deceleration to the point faint.
