video editing software for Canon XL2 video camera?
I'm considering buying a Canon XL2 video camera, what software video editing I recommend for use with this team. I like to modify the software on my PC with Windows XP
From the XL2 DV no standard definition any video editor should be very good – it depends what you want to get sophisticated. So … MovieMaker is included with Windows XP (SP2). If you want more video capabilities advanced editing, Sony Vegas and Adobe Premiere always float to the top. His biggest problem is getting the video on your computer. ALL miniDV tape based video transfer of cameras in the same way. The team needs a FireWire port. If you do not have one, hopefully you have an expansion slot so you can add one. It is also necessary firewire cable. FireWire400, IEEE1394a, DV and i.LINK are all the same thing. USB will not work. USB-FireWire adapter / converter will not work, either. Connect the FireWire cable DV port on the camcorder and the computer's FireWire port. Video camera must be in "Play" or "VCR" mode. MovieMaker will capture video.
