What is a good motherboard for a C2D E8400?
I purchased a Core 2 Duo E8400 and did not check the FBS, it’s 1333 and my board is 1066. (I haven’t put a computer together for about 2 and half years)so anyhow I’m guessing it’s time to upgrade my board. I need a budget board, wife will kill me if she sees me spending more money on a computer that worked perfectly well before, in her opinion.
So I use my computer to convert and burn dvd’s, some gaming , nothing serious though, I usually multitask different projects at once. Surf. And maybe use some photo editing software. It’s just nice to have the little extra power when you need it.
I will be keeping my 2 g of ram 667. I have a decent PCI graphic card. And my SATA hard drive will stay with me. I have a standard size case with cooler master real power 550w supply.
So which board will get me the best bang for my very little bucks?
