It Peachtree Accounting software work on Ubuntu Linux?
My boss is wanting to change all our company computers to Ubuntu Linux, but do not know if Peachtree is compatible with it or not, and is a mandatory program for our company.
If you install wine will probably work. Wine is a program that will allow run most Windows programs under Linux. I just checked the Wine AppDB and it seems to Peachtree Accounting 2006 has been tested to work with maybe a few issues. I had the older version of wine, however, 9.0.30. The wine is the current version 9.0.55. I would suggest to try first before starting to deploy Ubuntu for all equipment. It may be possible to find an adequate substitute for the implementation of Linux that can also open your Peachtree data.
