To UNINSTAL unwanted software on my computer?
c: windows system32 pm_ax.ocx I have on my computer somewhere. I like my antivirus UNINSTAL McAfee can not remove it and tell me that this is dangerous and therefore must be eliminated. Please can some help?
Two ways: 1 – Reboot the system Safe mode and try to eliminate it. The problem is that applications do not disappear so easily unpleasant. 2 – install two processes support each other (pm_proc1.exe and pm_proc2.exe) is a dll. that hangs in Internet Explorer as an add-on. This DLL also restore the two processes that are fired at Windows startup (registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Software / Microsoft / Windows / CurrentVersion / Run / PMSI) 1. Close Internet Explorer 2: Kill processes under Start> Run taskkill> / f / pm_proc1.exe im / im pm_proc2.exe 3. Right click on Internet Explorer icon and select Properties / Programs / Manage Add-ons 4. Find the add-on which is linked to pm_dll.dll and note the registry key you are using (the long hex number 5. Close the property sheet and run RegEdit IE 6. Find the Registration key found in step 4 and delete all entries and the keys 7. Reboot into Safe Mode 8. Delete all files in the media Platte C: Windows System32 (pm_ax.ocx, pm_dll.dll, pm_proc1.exe, pm_proc2.exe, pmsetup.exe) Please note, this was in XP Pro SP2 and Internet Explorer 7 that may need some adjustment for another operating system / browser combinations.
