Java – Creating a class without a constructor?

I'm in a computer science class AP, and gave us only to look over the program in which a class (Q1) is created that only has one method and not the constructor of the class. We also gave the tester, which creates a new object of type P2. I do not understand, however, is what this new object and actually indicates that there is no constructor. Does it refer only to a null value of memory? Edition: the new object P1 type is not type Q2.
