In autumn 2010, a controversial website whistleblowing by the name of Wikileaks was at the top of the headlines after publishing about 90,000 classified military documents to the public domain Internet. The incident not only lead to a international diplomatic crisis between allies and non allies and countries prompted a global man, hunting Director Jullian Assange Wikileaks, but also highlighted the vulnerability of the most secure in the world. Public reaction to the Wikileaks was split down the middle. According to the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press, 47% of Americans believed that the incident hurt the public interest, while 42% said it helped the public interest. Interestingly, there was also a clear division between age groups, while younger than 50 years felt the drain served the public interest (48% felt that serves and 40% said damage), those over 50 felt the leak damaged the public interest (55% considered impaired and 40% believe it serves).
