What's in Austin
Austin's booming economy is seeing the emergence of new items reference in the city, both downtown and suburbs. There are, however, are permanent fixtures in the landscape of Austin, full of history and culture that can not be totally replaced by new construction.
The list goes on and on to include the Governor's Mansion, the Capitol building, the Children's Museum of Austin, the Museum Art Austin, the Mexican-American Fine Arts Museum of Esther's Follies comedy club, the century-old Paramount Theater, and the entertainment section to along the Sixth and Fourth streets.
The Centre should not leave
However, the top of the list are definite musts. In downtown Austin in Colorado Street is the Governor's Mansion. More than half a century old, the Governor's Mansion was built in 1856 and has since remained as the oldest house of a state executive this side of the Mississippi. Once that provides residence for the Texas revolutionary hero Sam Houston, the Governor's Mansion place in history has been etched in stone now. Despite an incendiary attempt to raze this house in mid-2008, the restoration has been underway to restore the structure to its former glory.
Must see a little out there
If you are the health benefits like jogging or biking, which certainly has to be there at Lady Bird Lake. The hike and bike trail is a need for health enthusiasts. Lady Bird Lake, formerly known as Town Lake, just south of downtown Austin. Greening efforts to preserve the natural features of Lake prohibit motorized boats for water sports are popular kayaking and canoeing. With the trail walking and cycling bordering the lake for more than ten miles, both on the coast and waterborne enthusiasts gather near the lake, on a regular. Along the south shore of Lady Bird Lake's Auditorium Shores, the park known for its music festivals outdoors, where music lovers get their dose regular.
Here is the University of Texas at Austin campus. With numerous statues of the UT and benchmarks, is a must to every visitor can not renounce. The main building is a historic milestone with its details, views, and personalities. Walking tours are available on campus if you want more of a sense of the university grounds and buildings. One favorite is the tower's observation deck concerts, a tour of the UT tower, another milestone in the architecture and interior design. Other highlights of the tour of the campus will be a visit to the Department of Computer Science, Lyndon Johnson Presidential Library, the Memorial Museum and Science of Texas history, the ACES building, and the Art Gallery Harry Ransom Center.
Needless to say, Austin is not lacking in places to visit from parks to museums, historical structures and monuments to the campuses and centers, natural landscapes of artificial structures. But the three, the Governor Mansion, Lady Bird Lake and the University of Texas at Austin campus, should definitely be included if not at the top of the list of places to see Austin.
