Computer RAM upgrade question?
I have an HP desktop running A6000n Athlon 64 X2 (W) 4200 + 2.2 GHz AMD sux, do not get clown. = P You can find more information @: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00873231&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3377269&lang=en I'm looking to upgrade my memory, and I wondered if I had to stick with the type recommended RAM as DDR2 PC2-4200, or if you are a larger number, as PC2-5300 or PC2-6700 could make a difference, or help my team at all. In addition, says it has 4 slots, does it matter if I confused the ram sticks? like having a slot 1 GB and 2 GB in another? Or do we all have to be the same? Also, and monitors prices, which other sites offer competitive prices? Thanks in advance for your help =)
I'd say stick with the recommended, although I have no experience with experimentation with it. RAM is very difficult. Also, I would suggest that the same chips in each slot to maintain consistency, because when you mix different types and brands of memory, you start to have problems
