Upgraded my RAM in my computer runs slower?
My current laptop had 1GB of RAM when I bought it, I put in 2 GB and runs slower. Why would it be? The laptop only has one memory slot, so I bought a 2 GB stick and got the originals in place. It seemed a lot slower, I tried to run a high-definition movie and it would not work, then remained stuck, crashes, so I put the original 1GB RAM again and now is fine. I replaced the ram with 2 GB DDR2 was 5300, not sure of the exact type of ram that was originally in, but I suspect it was 1 GB DDR2 6400, 1GB of 6400 will be faster than 2 GB of 5300?
I would say that first of all, scan your system with a cleaner quality system, as Reginout to clean your system gives excessive data errors and cause the slowdown. Also, uninstall unnecessary programs. I hope your problem will be resolved. Few steps will also help you: 1. Make sure your hardware is sufficient: Beyond what you can do with the software to optimize the performance of your computer, making sure you have adequate hardware to support Windows is essential. 2. Clear your desk: Is your Windows desktop with files points? Have you noticed that your computer has been slower and slower? Do you see the hard disk light flashes often while waiting for the computer responds to an action? There are steps you can take to fix it. Read this article. 3. Scan your Windows system for errors: An operating system is a collection of files that perform different. It is possible, over time, one or more of these system files has changed or damaged. If this happens, the speed of your system may decrease. Using a utility called System File Verification ", these files will inspect and correct any problems you encounter. 4. Scan for Viruses, Spyware and Adware: each computer running Windows is vulnerable to viruses. Viruses are nasty little programs that cause both major and minor problems for users. Spyware and adware are programs created by companies to find out more information about customers, so they can best products for them. Spyware and adware can be loaded into computer memory and slow down.Periodically analysis and removal of viruses, spyware and adware is a great way to improve performance. 5. Uninstall unused programs: With the time, programs may have accumulated in the team not used. When a program is installed, creates connections between the program and the operating system. Even if you do not use These programs can slow down your system. If you have the original software installation disk or the file, removing programs will free up space on your computer and can accelerate the performance of your system. 6. Visual Effects Adjust for best performance: Windows provides a number of interesting visual effects, including animated windows and fading menus. If you do not have enough memory (see above the number 1), these effects can slow down your computer. Adjust or reduce visual effects can make a difference. 7. Not automatically Start Programs: Programs use operating memory (RAM, also called system resources.) Unless you always use these programs, may prevent Windows from loading at startup and speed in both the startup of your computer and its performance. Manage startup programs with reginout. 8. Defragment your hard drive: The more information and programs you have on your computer, the more likely that Windows has given the parties the same file in different places on your hard drive. It can be done this for hundreds of files and programs, depending on how much space is available. Defragmenting the hard drive all places of information for each file in one place. The result can be faster computer expertise.
