Computer memory upgrade help?
Right now I have SL DDR2 PATRIOT memory 2X1 GB PC2-6400 800MHZ (2 gigs of ram) and I am looking for two more gigs of ram. There is some ram I was looking at that is DDR2 PC6400 TWINX Memory 800MHz (2X1GB) with DHX cooling techonlogy. Now Can I get this so I can have 4 gigs of ram. The one I have now has PC2-6400 while the ones I want to buy has PC-6400. Will this be compatible?
I have windows Vista 64 bit. I’m still worried about one has pc2-6400 and the other one has pc-6400…..
They should be OK together – the important thing is that they are both DDR2 and PC6400 – that’s the standard that they share.
