RDRAM memory upgrade for Dell Dimension 8250?
Currently I have 4×128 (total 512) Memory PC1066 this 4-slot machine. I find it too expensive to upgrade from 1 GB (2 x 512) so I'm thinking of putting on a pair of 256S. That would mean they would have 2 x 256 + 2 x 128 (total 768). This configuration is acceptable? Does the equipment actually use all 768? What if the slots are placed in 256S? Thanks for your help
yes it will work well, but always put the most hits in bays first, in order to put the 256 in bays 1 and 2, then the 128 in 3 and 4 bay 1 should be the close to the CPU
