Computer – RAM memory ???
I thinking of upgrading my RAM memory. What factors have to be the same for RAM to work together? (I’ve heard buss clock speed or something,is this correct?)
Well, there are actually a few factors that need to be taken into account.
Bus speed is one of them, memory limit for your motherboard being another.
If you have an HP or a Dell or something from a mainstream manufacturer you can go to http://crucial.com and search for your specific make and model of your pc. It will tell you what kind of memory you can purchase, how much of it you can get… and their prices arent half bad either.
If you don’t have a mainstream computer you’ll probably want to check into what type of motherboard you have, either by looking at documentation that you got with your computer, or by eyeballing it and searching for stuff. Typically though you’ll be wanting to check with the manufacturer, or a computer store to make sure you get the right stuff.
