Restart the computer to see how much faster your PC! No need to give me thanks …. Lol ^ _ ^ Well, that man. Norton is horrible. I was using AVG, which uses half the memory of Norton, but later switched to NOD32. Is best ever! Seriously my advice above!
Or if you are running Norton, uninstall it and you release about 150-200 megs of RAM, and eliminate 30% of CPU usage … Do not leave without AV, get NOD32 http://www.eset.com, use 15 to 20 megs of RAM, the lowest of any AV I "m aware of, and scan times are many times faster than the other "competitor."
