Is it possible to format your hard dirve without Windows disc?

Yes, yes it is. But this requires downloading a utility called Boot and Nuke Dariks. What you do is download the file from another computer and save it to a floppy disk. Insert the disk into the computer you want format and running. Not completely remove all files and data from the hard disk. However, it takes long time to make, depending on the size of your hard drive. Good luck! And your Windows theme. I had the same problem. Have you tried to start the computer in safe mode? (Continue pressing F8 when your computer first starts. Then select Safe Mode from the menu)
