What is memory management software?

Ok, so I'm trying to run PC-CHECK through a boot disk, because the computer will not boot properly and I can not do certain things because it says I have a memory management software installed. IE: I can not run any test memory, graphics memory test, or change the processor from process 1 to 2.3 or 4, because of this software. What is it and how do I get rid of it to run these tests.

Memory management software sounds like a virus that forces you to buy something. Windows Explorer has this built in, not have to buy one. Simply run chkdsk-f and mbr fdisk at the command prompt from the boot disks.
