How to increase memory usage on a PC?
I am currently working on a school project that proves the use of CPU and computer memory. And I'm done with the two applications and I want to try if it really works. I've created a small Java program that will increase the CPU usage (just an infinite loop) and now I'm doing another program to increase the memory usage. However, it did not help. Are there any suggestions on how to accomplish this? Java applications and codes source are very welcome. Thank you very much.
Problem is that Java has a garbage collector that frees unused memory and orphans. So what can be do is write a program to allocate an array of pointers then allocate memory and assign the allocation to each indicator in the matrix. I guess you can allocate memory on progress, but not orphan them. ie p = allocate memory, p = allocate memory. email: p1 = allocate memory, p2 = allocate memory.
